THE DIXON FAMILY "SUDDENLY SEVEN"

On the average month, the Dixon family uses about 250 diapers and 800 jars of formula, filling up 3,200 oz. in bottles. Break that down to a day-to-day existence, it means about 8 diapers per day, per Quad, plus Logan's 6 diapers a day. That's nearly 40 dirty diapers every day. And the Quads each consume 4 oz. or more of formula every 4 hours; eating 6 times a day, means 24 or more feedings every day. [ learn the needs ]

Between the feeding, burping, crying, changing, rocking, bathing and playing, the Dixon children keep Mommy Liz and Big Poppa Donny quite busy.  Not to mention, meal times, bath time and playtime for Logan. Big Brother Logan is growing and learning more by the week, discovering new words, foods, music and activities; Logan's such a loveable and playful little boy. [ more about Logan ]

Liz Dixon is a strong woman. A survivor. And together, with her husband and five children, the Dixon Seven have a distinct vibrance. Such a life as Liz’s can only be filled with more surprises and miracles.  Her challenges turn into triumphs, and injuries to scars.  Despite the past, Liz is always moving forward, looking to the future with optimism and enthusiasm.  Motherhood was always part of that vision she had for the future. Little did she know what her fate held – carrying quintuplets, bringing four babies into the world at once, and raising five. [ words from Liz

The Dixons and their extended family have long been Pro-Life.  This phenomenon of multiples certainly requires demonstration of real commitment to what was previously just ‘lip service’ to a closely held belief.  It requires that Liz and Donny prove their faith in the fact that God knows what He’s doing when he creates a life.  To maintain hope that God will provide a way.
