THE DIXON FAMILY UPDATE
FEBRUARY 17, 2006
Our family is doing very well. We have not had a chance to update everyone lately cause so much is happening. The babies are all growing and learning each day. The Quads are now 10 months old. Seven months adjusted age. That means, even though they are 10 months old there developmentally 7 months old. Life around the Dixon family is really getting fun and even more crazy.
The babies are all rolling around all over the place and have a new menu of baby food. They are laughing and having all kinds of fun with Logan. Even though Samantha is the baby of the family she outweighs the quads weighing in at over 19 pounds. Also, congratulations are in order. Sam was the first to get her two front teeth! Sam loves to eat. She also loves to cause trouble and play with the other babies just like her big brother Logan. I think its safe to say Samantha must be Logan's twin.
Madison enjoys eating as well and has taken areal liking to spinach and squash. She is all over the place and talking up a storm. She weighs a little over 18 pounds. The doctor says according to her grow chart, looks like she will be the short one of the family... standing as tall as 5’3’. Sounds like her mommy! Her eyes are doing so much better! Maddy is the teddy bear of the family. She is a ball of hugs.
Hudson is just catching on to what baby food is all about. He has been getting a special routine of physical therapy to help him with eating and his arm movements. His favorite baby foods are applesauce and Hawaiian delight. Yum! And by the way girls, Hudson is turning into a very handsome young man. What girl can resist his soft blue eyes and blonde hair.
Candice is as precious as ever. She is doing so well these days. Despite fighting a few infections here in there she is in great shape. Candi is still the smallest of the bunch. She weighs in at 13pounds. Candi is progressing each day on her eating and is able to take more and more by mouth. She even gets to enjoy baby foods with her siblings. Hopefully soon she will not need her g-tube anymore for her feedings. By the way... have you seen her eyelashes? Wow!
Logan is now 22 months old. He’s as wonderful as ever! He’s a cutie pie! Learning new words and phrases each day. He’s so much fun! He has a growing appetite and is full of energy. His favorite food is PBJ. His newest thing he is into is Tigger. He loves watching The Tigger Movie and reading the books. He has also become a star basketball, soccer and football player for the Dixon Team. Logan is a great helper around the house too!!
Besides a house full of growing children to keep us busy we have been busy preparing to move to our first home. Donny and I put a contract down on a house that has been under construction. Our house is nearing completion and sometime in the next several weeks we hope to announce being official homeowners. We will be moving from the Welsh home to a place of our own. After close to 2 years of living here it will be hard to say goodbye. This will be a huge transition for everyone. I would tell you where we are moving to but for safety reasons I won't. If you would like to know just ask us. But don't worry, we are not going too far.
Updates to come...
