We were taking prayer requests on the morning of April 13th and one of my students (Megan) mentioned that one of her mother's friends had heard the story of a family who was expecting quads soon and had a baby who had already experienced kidney problems. She explained some of the financial burdens you were under (loss of job, place to live, medical bills, etc.) I felt a real burden to pray for your family. Usually, I let a student pray out loud, but for some reason on this particular morning, I really felt led to pray specifically for the health and well-being of both mother and babies and big brother. I am a mother of four and understand that each life is a precious gift of God and prayed in that way for this miracle to happen. I had no idea that it would happen within a few hours. Our prayers were lifted up at about 9:45 a.m. We had very little specific information to go on. (No names, city, church, due date, or anything). God is awesome!!! He heard our prayer!!! I had no idea until I was watching channel 8 news at 10:00 p.m. with my husband. We saw the previews of the story coming up after commercial. It peaked my curiosity and instead of turning back to the Maverick game, we waited for the story. I still had no idea it was about the family we had prayed for in my class that morning. As the story unfolded, I watched with amazement as they flashed a picture of big brother and mentioned a kidney problem. My husband commented that the story sounded vaguely familiar. I almost fell out of bed and told him that this was the family that I had told him about our class praying for! I couldn't wait until I got to school to share with the class the great news of a safe delivery. Megan had not heard yet. What a testimony to the students of God's amazing power. My Church, Ovilla Road Baptist Church, has just recently began a major campaign for prayer groups. Our pastor has been emphasizing the need for prayer in our world today. I plan on sharing this story with him, the rest of the church and with the rest of my school. I hope to organize some major fundraising for your family...
