MORE ABOUT CANDICE...
Candice -- a.k.a. Candi (Cane) -- is just as sweet as can be. She's been through so much, but she's a true fighter. Read Candi's timeline of events below to catch up on her journey since birth.

She's our little angel. Candi's a very happy girl; she smiles all the time. Her gorgeous eyes and sweet face can light up a room. She's precious, like a real live baby doll. People say she looks the most like her Mom.

Candi loves it when people talk to her. She enjoys her mobile, but her favorite pastime being held, quiet and content. She loves to splash around in the bath. Candice is very attentive and enjoys being around her brothers and sisters. She'll surely be ready to talk to her sisters and brothers -- as soon as someone gives her a voice.

CANDI'S STRUGGLE
"
HER QUIET STRENGTH"

Candice has been fighting infections, but is still progressing each day. She's started baby foods by mouth, and hopefully soon she won't need her g-tube anymore for feedings.

HOME AT LAST
"
FIRST DAY OUT OF HOSPITAL"

After 5 months and 4 days, Candice Bailey was finally released from the NICU. Although still requiring fill-time medical care, she is able to be with her siblings. The Dixon Seven are together at last.
SHE'S A FIGHTER
"
CANDI'S TRACH & G-TUBE"

Candice had tracheotomy surgery in August 2005. She also continues to be fed with the aid of her g-tube.

Thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Plano Presby level four NICU. They took good care of Candice Bailey for her more-than 5 month stay.
